RDI Engages Local Government on Evidence-Based Decision-Making and Regional Research Needs

Representatives of the RDI attended the 2015 Association of Kootenay Boundary Local Governments Conference to connect with elected officials on the topic of evidence-based decision-making and gather input on priority research needs for our region’s local governments. The enthusiastic crowd of nearly 100 delegates worked together to answer 3 questions related to a list of top-of-mind issues for local governments:

What issues (challenges/opportunities) are you tackling related to this topic?
What responses/actions have you implemented or considered?
What are your current research/information needs related to this topic?

This valuable input will help inform the RDI’s plans for future applied research activities
