State of the Basin
The State of the Basin is an indicator monitoring initiative that reports on trends in economic, social, cultural and environmental well-being across the Columbia Basin-Boundary region. Originally a project of Columbia Basin Trust, the State of the Basin has been an RDI program since 2012.
A variety of knowledge products are associated with the State of the Basin program, including:
Snapshot Reports (annual graphic summaries of select indicators);
Full Reports (compilations of all current State of the Basin research);
Subjective well-being reports (results of a poll of Columbia Basin-Boundary residents focused on perceptions and behaviours;
RDI Focus (a monthly e-newsletter highlighting State of the Basin indicators); and
Remote data provision support (one-on-one support to provide State of the Basin research for use by your organization of initiative. To access this service, contact RDI staff)
The RDI's series of community profiles compiles the results of some State of the Basin indicators by community and also brings in additional socio-economic data of interest to residents, businesses and potential investors. To view your a profile, visit our Communities pages.
